Johnson & Johnson. Someone called it the most blue of all blue chips

Johnson & Johnson. Someone called it the most blue of all blue chips. They make everything in their consumer division from baby shampoo to contact lenses through face wash and mouth wash. Band aids and OTC medicine, well known brands ---> Consumer Products. And then there are the two other major divisions ---> Medical Devices & Diagnostics and the aptly named ---> Prescription Products. Their results two days ago were iffy.

I wanted to make a point of sorts here. Another mesofact, if you don't pay attention then it sneaks up on you. This is the Dollar revenue for Johnson & Johnson over the last six full financial years. It is a bit of a hack job from the JNJ 2009 Historical Financial Review and the most recent release, two days ago ---> Johnson & Johnson Reports 2010 Fourth-Quarter and Full-Year Results.

What this next graphic is, is the US and international segments that have been separated over six years.

In 2005, the international segment represented just short of 44 percent of overall sales. In 2010 that rose to over 52 percent of overall sales. Before you jump down my throat and tell me that the Dollar weakened a whole lot, nope basically flat over that time with moves up and down. This is a hack from the Google finance website ---> Euro (EUR) in US Dollar (USD)

So that aint it. What is more interesting is that if the Asia Pacific region is growing at around 10 percent per annum. And that again friends is all that I have to say about that, growing sharply in the emerging world, still iffy in the developed world.
