Last week Tesla announced facelifts to their Model S and Model X. It is hard to believe that the current Model S was launched in 2012 - it has aged very well. Most of the changes are to the S, with only minor changes to the X.
The S has a slight change to its exterior, making it more aerodynamic and it comes with a massive new glass roof. There are also upgrades to the power unit, allowing the top of the range model to do 0-60 in under 2 seconds and have a range of 520 miles. Wow! The top of the range model will cost you R2.1m at current exchange rates and before import duties.
The biggest changes are to the interior, see the image below. It looks rather futuristic. You can also see that cars are moving to become entertainment hubs thanks to self-driving capabilities. Of course there is a screen in the back, allowing passengers to play games or watch TV. The car has some serious processing power, giving it the ability to play the best games around.
